What if you sat in a different place than your usual today?
A physical change of location/position actually does give you a different perspective and wakes your senses up.

When I read the word different, I immediately think CHANGE. It’s like a wakeup call. In 2012 I was knee deep in a successful business. They all said I’d never sell. But a small vision or dream was gnawing at me. Kind of like Jiminy Cricket. I’d often hear the cliché . Ah yes, the BUT. It’s the word that excuses us from achieving change. It lives in front of fear. Fear of going broke or maybe learning something new about ourselves. We get caught up in survival and come to believe a car, house or cloths will bring happiness. They all wear out. Yet we hide in “no change for now”.
I just met with a 40-year-old friend who was partners in successful land brokerage. The wake up call of a life spiraling hit him. He knew life was good but it still had more to offer. He sold the partnership, Packed up his wife, who is a successful doctor, and his kids, bought an Airstream and left for the west. They spent a year traveling through America’s beauty. Now he’s back in the spiral game. The point is he broke loose.
Last month I met a young woman who had an awakening. Her higher power gave her another opportunity through the miracle of health. She had no money and yet found a way to travel through 15 countries in two years. She made it to missions and began to learn her place. Imagine taking your family on a mission trip to see how little so many have and yet are so happy with nothing more than love. Its huge.
I was sitting in a café in Mexico and two Suzukies and a labradoodle pull up. They too had an epiphany. They were caught up in the spiral. So they sold or gave away all the material STUFF. They were on their way from the USA to South America on motorcycles. They were in their early 40s and had to break from the spiral.
I met another young woman who was stuck in the spiral of overweight, bully abuse and THE JOBBBBB. She broke the wheel. Lost the weight, quit the job moved to discovery. She has a list of out of the box self-discoveries. Now a successful independent consultant.
In 2013 , at 63 years old, I knew there must be more out there than the spiral of daily life. I shocked my friends when I sold and moved to Mexico for a year. But then I slept with the big five in Africa, Climb Kilimanjaro and returned to the USA.
I purchased a group of homes in Urban Indy to revitalize a new dream. Its been two years and I’m getting stuck again. They all say I should stay and manage the project but I say I need to explore what life is offering me. So I’m going yet farther out of my box and touring the USA, Mexico and ending up in India to hike the trail to Everest Base Camp. Why? Because I know I am on earth to discover the great gifts life has given me. It’s scary but I have not been sorry for any of my adventures. Not even those not well thought out. I must change. All this because I changed where I am sitting. Who knows, I may see and feel opinions from those I’m negotiating with.
Small changes invoke other small changes like fitness, diet, new perspective. That could be the seed for the brightest tomorrow.
Thank you again Karen Valencic for continuing to stir up thoughts hiding in my mind.
