This is such a flaw in me. I believe my physical looks has something to do with how I am interpreted. I found I should set the tone for the relationship up front. I have to understand if it is business, friendship or intimate. Then I like to have conversations about how others like to communicate. I ask if they have a hurdle expressing their thoughts and feelings. I let them know that we are only human and depending on the relationship I like to work as team. It is important all understand we are only human. I try not to denounce other’s ideas. Ultimately someone has to make the decisions but for the most part it is a coalition of ideas that bring the final result. This often has to be reinforced to those who have a tendency to isolate from their feelings.
Thank you Karen Valencic for helping me face my flaws.
Sound like you have a lot of awareness around this John!
