News and drama are addicting.
Neuroscientists get the impact of negative images and news on our mind.
This is something I continue to be more conscious of, though it’s really easy to get sucked into the news cycle.
What do do instead?
As much as news and ‘click bait ‘have populated most newsfeeds – Other options have grown too!
Consider these:
Listen to podcasts – life affirming topics of all kinds are available.
Watch Youtube on Topics you are interested in.
Write your own story.
Read a book!
Call a friend!

I think we as a society especially in todays world try to achieve joy through external influences, possessions and relationships thus making the pursuit unattainable. Yes, joy is a state of being. I daydream during the day, it works for me
I think daydreaming is underrated – so good for you. As long as they are dreams and not nightmares!
