How do you move forward if you keep looking back?
You don’t!
However, bringing lessons learned and feelings of joy from the past into your present help you move forward with confidence.
– Beware of looking back in fear –
In the present you are a different person.
Focusing on the past slows you down and causes you to run into other undesirable things because you aren’t present.
Easy to say – Hard to do
A daily centering practice and appreciation journal helps move through those old fears.

Many of the people appearing on the various shows try to answer questions by saying they would like to talk about questions they have to develop answers for going forward versus looking at the past. One person even said, “We need to rip off the rear view mirror.”
I like the lines from “The Voice” by the Moody Blues.

And your back up against the past?
Let’s work together to go forward and quit rehashing the past!
I love that ‘rip off the rear view mirror!” I believe we get what we focus on, and forward seems to always be better!
