What are the two best words to keep in your front pocket?

When you receive an opinion, gift, or suggestion that you don’t like or initially agree with

just say ‘Thank you!’
The gift is knowing where that person is coming from, you don’t have to agree.

This does four very important things:

      1. It creates a positive connection of gratitude by acknowledging the gesture or thought
      2. Encourages continued communication
      3. Causes you pause to consider possibilities in the situation or a new way of thinking
      4. If it becomes a reflexive response, you always start out on a good note!

Keep that ‘thank you’ in your front pocket – not your back pocket!
