I was continuing to trust everyone without thorough investigation. Then when the plan went wrong I blamed them. I learned it was me who was not being thorough.
I had to not only consider and accept change but I had to really come to believe it was necessary. I believe Change stirs in the muck of fear. In my underlying mind I was frightened of failure if I changed. I had to learn humility. Once I broke that barrier I began to feel more comfortable saying “No” without feeling rejection. I listened more. I considered other options. That does not mean I gave up on my opinions. It only means I considered other’s opinions. Now my heart smiles more and I have a better understanding of the cliché “I changed my mind”.
Thank you again Karen Valencic. Your daily inspirations remind me of Tinkerbell flying around my head and tapping parts of the brain with her magic wand.
John, Changing one’s mind with new information is really wise. It is funny how our culture tends to think changing one’s mind is being a flip flopper!
